DOLLYWOOD: BUTTERFLY STRINGS
While serving as the Revenue Visual Coordinator at Dollywood, I spearheaded the design of a brand-new boutique, Butterfly Strings Music Store. As both the head project manager and designer, I played a pivotal role in shaping every aspect of this distinctive space. From initial research and conceptualization to meticulous budgeting, I oversaw the transformation from bare walls to a vibrant country music boutique. This involved everything from stripping the walls down to the studs and selecting and installing finishes to applying sheet music and stucco textures. Additionally, I embarked on vintage shopping expeditions and toured iconic venues like the Ryman Auditorium to procure the perfect memorabilia, infusing the space with authentic charm and character. The result is a harmonious blend of craftsmanship and country music culture.

By having an out-of-place indoor faux shingle roof, moldy bead board and outdated light fixtures, the building housing Butterfly Strings Music store was long overdue for a remodel. Click through to see the before and progress photos.
Following the remodel, the store now exudes a fresh yet vintage, warm, and inviting ambiance. With new paint, themed slatwall, and stuccoed sheet music wall coverings, the store boasts a versatile backdrop that maximizes the display of inventory. Additionally, the incorporation of country music memorabilia, used road cases, and vintage rugs infuses the space with character and vitality.
